This is one of the first Legend race cars built by Allison Brothers Race Cars in Salisbury, NC.
Following info was provided to me by US Legend Cars International’s title department.
The car was first driven by NASCAR’s two-time Daytona 500 winner, team owner, and current NASCAR commentator Michael Waltrip. Back then he drove for NASCAR team owner Chuck Rider (Bahari Racing). Chuck Rider was the first “registered” owner of the car.
Chuck Rider later sold the car to Ken Ragan. Ken Ragan is a former NASCAR driver and the past general manager of US Legend Cars International – and father of current NASCAR driver David Ragan (also a Daytona winner). David Ragan spent several years driving Legend cars but I do not know if this car was used by David back then but his father did own this car. The current title made out to me is authorized and signed by Ken Ragan when he was still the GM of US Legend Cars.
I’ve never raced the car, and it’s only been used for car shows since I’ve owned it. The car has the 1200 cc unsealed motor. The interior has the optional door pads, gear selection indicator, oil pressure gauge besides the standard tach (has an oil temp gauge also but not plumbed to the engine yet). I believe the rear axle is a 3.78 ratio.
Car has the 4 bar style chassis, aluminum spindles, tach, oil temp, seat with belts, legal US Legends title & VIN plate.
Here’s your chance to own a true race car that was driven by NASCAR Daytona winners at an affordable price.
