The car was gutted from firewall to trunk with the wheel tubs all in one piece for resale. It sits on an Art Morrison 2x3 square frame. The body is mounted to the roll cage and the frame. It has a struct front end and 4 link rear with 9” Ford with a locker and 3.98 gears and 35 spline axels. The tubs are 48” to have room for the Mickey Thompson 21.5/33/15. The front tires are 26/4/15 all on Convo Pro Wheels with Wilwood brakes all the way around.
The engine compartment is busy but neat with oil transmission coolers with fans to keep everything cool. It also has a Griffin radiator with dual fans, an alternator and a vintage air system. The motor is back 10 ½ ” and down in the rails an extra 4” for better weight transfer.
The headers were made by us and are stainless steel with 2 ½ primaries into 5” collectors into 3 ½ exhaust. Everything as been coated with ceramic to help with heat. The motor is a Merlin DRC Block 4.5 x 4.24 540ci Callic’s crank JE8T01 pistons Oliver rods 6.385 and Child & Albert 0-Gap rings and bearing. The block has been 0 ringed and has a bullet cam the lift on it is 6:50/649 duration 311/320 separation 114/350 intake 256 exhaust 264. The heads are Dart 360 with a receive grove cut in and copper head gaskets. It has a 230 11/32 stems intake and a 1.88 stainless exhaust with 3/8 stems. It has stud guide, K and 1.7 chrome molly rockers. It also has a 8-71 Littlefield Blower with two 850 quick fuel carbs, crank trigger and MSD distributer and a 7AL3 bow with MSD coil.
I installed a 22-gallon fuel cell so you don’t have to worry about running out of fuel. The fuel system is all Magna Pump Prostar 750 with regulator and inline filter. The transmission is an F&B Power glide with a 1.66 low gear Canadian Vaso steel straight cut. F&B is located in Bay Shore New York. The converter is 10” with a 3400 stall SF1 Certified case and flex plate. It also has a fast air fuel computer to check on the mix and with tuning.
